TIMOTHY M. KWIATEK
I am an Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University. My research concerns ethics and moral psychology as well as Buddhist philosophy. I’m especially interested in the nature of praise and how it fits in our social lives.
In 2023, I finished my a PhD in The Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University. My dissertation, Meaning, Praise, and Anger: Essays in Moral Psychology was supervised by Derk Pereboom. Before that, I got my B.A. in Philosophy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I like music, especially punk (broadly construed). I spend my free time lifting weights and playing chess or video games.
To pronounce my last name correctly, it should sound like the word "quiet."
